FOUR FOR MY YEAR END SALES

The last time I bought English books for myself was on 2010.

I lost my reading habit for 2 years šŸ™‚

But I took it back a few weeks ago after I finished reading The Alchemist.

My fiance sent me The Alchemist last year.

But I never touched the book until a few weeks ago.

The book was with my ex boss for one year reading. LOL šŸ˜€

I fell in love with The Alchemist and the Paulo’s writing.

So, I want more from Paulo šŸ™‚

I was thinking to go toĀ Fahrenheit 88Ā , KL to buy some comfy leggings from UniqloĀ and enjoy my year end sales window shopping at KLCC or Pavilion.

But, I have no more leaves šŸ˜¦ and I’m worried my fiance won’t let me spend my money for the leggings šŸ™‚

So, I changed my plan.

Instead of shopping at Uniqlo, I did book shopping online.

I purchased 4 books via MPH Bookstore OnlineĀ on 18 December 2012

And today, I got all the books šŸ™‚

Taadaa …

FOUR BOOKS

Sure, I will order some more books fromĀ MPH Bookstore Online.

So fast and I can’t wait to read them.

I am not sure which one I should read first.

But my heart wanted to explore One Day by David Nicholls.

I hope it don’tĀ disappointingĀ me šŸ™‚

ENGAGEMENT

On this date last month, I got engaged to my 3 years and a half long distance boyfriend.

Yes, you read it right. Long distance boyfriend šŸ™‚ But, I’m not going to tell you about

  • How I met my long distance love.
  • or How to survive a long distance relationship.

I’d like to talk about has anyone’s relationship changed after getting engaged?

I know that mine had. I wouldn’t say that mine have much. But, maybe in some ways things are more like reality and an adult-like šŸ™‚

We are just growing up and getting used to the idea of taking care of each other for the rest of our lives.

We are very much in love and things are still amazing, it just seems more real, I guessĀ because now it is official that we are going to be married soon! šŸ™‚

And I am also a lot more relaxed with him now that we are official although I am stressing out about future planning!

It’s just a lot more exciting to know that you will have a partner for the rest of your life and you wont be alone!

Sick in love! šŸ™‚

10 THINGS ABOUT ME

First of all, I am a beginner, so we should know thereā€™s a bigger room for improvement. Iā€™m still learning and hopefully everyone could support and your comments are most welcome!

Second, before I proceed with more stories or mishaps or whatever things going on around me…

I would like to tell you a few things about me..

1. I am a right-brain person. Sorry, I hate anything related with numbers. Art, philosophy and history are my passion.

2. I have problem to stop my legs from moving/shaking. Donā€™t worry, it is not a disease. Itā€™s just a bad habit of mine. If they actually stop, I must have been sleeping šŸ™‚

3.Ā When my mood gets very bad the only thing can make me calm down are cats! Gemuk is my adorable fat cat šŸ™‚

4. I love everything white. It’s shows I am a clean and simple šŸ™‚

5. I lost my sketching, drawing and painting skills since 7 years ago. I hope I can spend about 20 minutes on paper everyday šŸ™‚

6. I am learning Turkish at the moment from the comfort of my own home which isn’t in a Turkish-speaking country. I wish by the mid next year, I can speak Turkish well šŸ™‚

7. I do use Skype! everyday better than my cellphone. It’s free and high quality for me to talk with my fiance.

8. I don’t hate durian, budu, cencaluk, tempoyak, petai, jering but the smell of them are just too overwhelming and make me dizzy. I never taste any of them in my life except for durian. I used to eat durian when I was a kid but I stopped eating it when I was 14 years old.

9. I can’t stand with dirty and messy people. No! I am not a very cleanaholic. I even can eat street food or use Ā public restroom. But, I love to see my own spaceĀ clean and shiny, neat and tidy, organised and systematic, fluff and dust free.

10. Lastly, everyone should know this: I respect all people. So, don’t step on my tail or you’ll see my horns grow. hehe šŸ˜€

P/S: I know my english sounds awkward. Iā€™m not anĀ EnglishĀ native speaker and hardly get Aā€™s in school but I try my best to improve myself. Let just see this blog as me practice myĀ English šŸ™‚

GOODBYE MRS. JB

3 days ago, I joined a farewell dinner with other colleagues in Grand Riverview Hotel.

It was a farewell dinner for our Deputy Registrar.

She gave a half an hour speech. It was a brief and ā€œfull of momentsā€ message from her.

I1

The invitation card

I2

After finished our Malay dinner.

I3

29 years for USM

She said ā€ Itā€™s not easy for me to leave this job but I had to do it for my beloved husband. I worked for 29 years and now itā€™s a perfect time for me to leave. Some of my staffs asked me to wait for a few months to get retired so I can get new salary, but I canā€™t wait. I donā€™t mind about it. My current salary is extra enough for me. My husband needs me more than anyone else. My job needed me to work 24 hours. I had to leave my husband many times in 29 years because of my duty. Ā I thank to him for his understanding and sacrifice. Thank you so muchā€.

She was the person who interviewed me for the position I have now.Ā  I got two interviews with her.

One for Librarian position and another was Administration Officer.

I remember she asked me about my brooch I wore with my Kebaya dress.

She said ā€œI noticed you like to wear brown dress and animal brooch. Do u like the animal brooch instead of flower brooch?ā€.

That was a trick question to trap me :D Luckily I got the job :)

Thank you Mrs. JB for choseĀ me among other candidates.

May Allah bless you and your family. And thank you for your 29 years excellent service with us :)

HOMEMADE TWISTER

Since a few days ago, I was craving for Iskander doner.

But I know I couldnā€™t find it here šŸ˜¦

So, I decided to prepare a homemade Twister for my break-fasting meal.

I found the frozen potato wraps, some slices of chicken bologna and chicken nuggets in my fridge.

I chopped some cabbages and baby tomatoes.

Deep fried a slice chicken bologna and 3 pieces of chicken nuggets (cut into Ā small pieces).

Heat the wraps in the microwave and put the vegetables on it, add some pepper, thousand islands and chili sauce, a slice of deep-fried chicken bologna and tiny deep-fried chicken nuggets.

Then, I rolled up the wraps as tightly as I can. It was so tasty like KFC Twister.

Homemade twister

Next time, I no need to drive-thru for KFC Twister. I can made it by myself.Ā
